The Cleftwright Covenant
“We cut so that he may rise.”
Core Belief
The world is a wound scabbed over by Serendahl’s cruelty.
Every vein of Heartroot is a crust of divine scar tissue sealing a god who was never meant to sleep.
To the Cleftwrights, Thorgun is not sacred—it’s a tomb.
Doctrine
• “The mountain’s silence is agony.”
• “Mercy is motion.”
• “Complacency is blasphemy.”
View of the Pulsewrights
They call the Pulsewrights the Sleepers, accusing them of comforting a dying god instead of saving him.
“They stroke his hand while he suffocates. They call his gasps ‘peace.’”
The Cleftwrights see themselves as surgeons and revolutionaries:
cutting away divine scar tissue to end Uldrun’s suffering and awaken him to begin the next creation.
They invoke scripture that promises “The Second Shaping,” when the titan will rise, shatter Serendahl’s bindings, and remake the world.
Tone & Imagery
• Tools polished like relics; every chisel named after a storm.
• Their temples are open chasms—stone peeled back to the sky.
• Their leaders, the Wound-Prophets, bear ritual scars across their palms as signs of the titan’s pain shared.
Philosophy in a Sentence
“A god who cannot move is not at peace—he is imprisoned. We will break his chains, even if the world must quake.”
